I googled the hardest gyms in NYC and found EPIC. During my training at EPIC that month I met Alex. I was instantly hooked to all the classes, specially the Blast and the Grynd. When I could not and did not have the physical ability to do certain sets of exercises and/or obstacles, it motivated me to keep going and train harder.
EPIC trained me for obstacle course races. I have completed four Spartan Races (two sprints, one Super and a Beast), therefore completing my Trifecta goal. EPIC helped me lose 48lbs since I joined and I’ve been in the best shape of my life. EPIC is helping me accomplish my goal of racing elite next year, and completing two Trifectas. EPIC provides you the tools you need to succeed, which include the gym, the program, the trainer and the members that work hard everyday and motivate you. it’s all up to you to get what you want out of it. You are going to get what you put into it.
During my first training month at EPIC I met Alex. From the minute I met Alex he was a person that was confidant, extremely nice/approachable and offered his advice and help in anyway and the more I got to know Alex, I could see he would lead by example. His classes are tough and highly motivational.
I approached Alex about my goals, concerns, and struggles. He completely supported me, my goals, addressed my concerns and help me with my struggles in every way he could. That demonstrated to me the type of person he is and my friendship with Alex grew from there.
Physically, I’m in the best shape of my life! I’ve completed a Spartan Trifecta thanks to EPIC training. Mentally, I have what I call mental toughness, I feel like whatever I put my mind to I can accomplish.
Alex leads by example and speaks from the heart. EPIC is doing something different, it’s a movement, and I have not found that in any other gym.
